Our Purpose:
CECYC exists to establish and develop a vital link between God and our Cambodian youth. We hope to be used by God to plant that seed for spiritual awakening amongst our youth in preparation for a common goal of global evangelism.

History:
The first Cambodian youth Conference was held in Providence, Rhode Island in 1988. There was a total of 168 youth in attendance. The Providence church hosted the event, providing housing and meals for all of the attendees. Many churches in New England and the Mid-Atlantic States participated. These churches included Harrisburg, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Nyack, Bridgeport, Fairfield, Providence, Cranston, Boston, Attleboro, Revere, Lynn, Lowell, Philadelphia, and Richmond. This first conference was made possible through contributions of many Cambodian Christian Leaders. While gratitude and appreciation are expressed to all of them, there are three key persons who were fully dedicated to the mission of the youth conference. These were O'B O'Brien, Bounoeury Kes, and Saul Kes.

Even though the Conference was started mainly by the Cambodian Evangelical Church, the intent was to provide a unity for all Cambodian youth of CEC as well as Non-CEC Cambodian churches. Because of this commitment to show young people about the true love of God, many have gone home from the Conferences with a true realization of what life is all about. Many have re-dedicated their lives to the Lord, while others have led their non-Christian friends to the Lord as well.

Due to the great response and interest of the Cambodian Churches in general, the legacy of the Conference continues. From the humble beginnings inside a church, the Youth Conference has grown in size to over 200 attendees a year. Leadership has been extended to both CEC and Non-CEC churches ranging from students to national speakers
